Who is moi?
Isa Danton is a French writer and translator.
She started writing on her sister's mechanical typewriter, some forty years ago. Her first story was a nine-page single sentence about a large family of orphans. When she showed it to her teacher (would this qualify as her initial pitch?), she received her first rejection. The teacher simply said:
- "How boring!"
Did that stop our intrepid writer? Not at all, she went back to the treadm.. er... typewriter and continued on with more stories on abandoned gangs of brothers and sisters in the need.
Through the years, she gained interest in short stories, and thank Goodness, finally got over her addiction to orphans' stories! She started a writers' group called "The Terrace" on the famous writing.com website. These were prolific years for Isa. She saw her self-help articles published on websites (like the now obsolete writingjuice.com), and two print magazines (Le Bord de l'Eau and Spotlight on Recovery), she also received a third price at the 24 heures du livre du Mans.
Isa is now a freelance writer looking for opportunities. A career as a teacher has brought her an extensive knowledge of children and their development. By children, she means anyone from minus 9 months to B-Day to 199 years. Additionally to finding her "niche," the opening of the digital world to book writers has come as an awakening to Isa and she is determined to leaving her pen print in it... oh, and about names, check this out.
